Vivian C. Talbot, 95, of Fall River, passed peacefully from this life, with family by her side on Wed. February 17, 2021, joining her beloved husband of 70 years, Bob, who had predeceased her on September 30, 2020. Born in Fall River, the daughter of the late Giovanni Vavala and the late Elizabeth (DeMarco) Vavala, she was a lifelong resident of Fall River.

A warm and loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, Vivian's whole life revolved around her family. Her home was very important to her, and she enjoyed doing her own interior design and decorating in order to make it a welcoming space for nurturing her family. Her happiest moments were spent having conversations at the dinner table, enjoying visits from family members, and while being a caregiver with her husband Bob for their grandchildren and great grandchildren. During her lifetime Vivian belonged to and worshipped at the former Holy Rosary, Immaculate Conception, and St. Bernadette parishes of Fall River.

She is survived by: three children, Patricia Souza of Westport, Stephen Talbot (wife Jennifer) of Springfield, Illinois, and Mary Talbot-Fox (husband David) of Norfolk, MA; a brother, Reno Vavala of Fall River; five grandchildren, Eric Souza, Amy Dion, Andrea Toledo, Stephanie Brizeno, and Lilliana Fox; five great grandchildren, Lucas Dion, Elliot Dion, Dominic Toledo, Colin Toledo, and Erin Brizeno; and many nieces and nephews. Vivian was preceded in death by two brothers, Bruno Vavala and Louis Vavala.

Her Funeral Mass was celebrated on Wednesday, February 24th, in St. John the Baptist Church, Westport, followed by her private committal at St. Patrick Cemetery in Fall River.
