Walter Clifford Lapre, 73, of Somerset, passed away June 1, unexpectedly. Husband of Pauline "Pat" Lapre. Born in Fall River, son of the late Paul and Ethel (McVey) Lapre. An avid hunter and outdoorsman, Walter will be remembered for his kindness and loving devotion to his family and friends. Beloved father of Michael (wife-Anne) and Patrick Britland and Judi Sterne (husband-Robert); grandfather of Bobbie and Heidi Sterne, Kaleo Frank, Kekai, Brittany and Kelly Britland; great grandfather of Miranda, Madison, Mason, Keale, Poi, Ehu and Liam Walter; brother of Mary L. Bennett (husband-Henry), Frederick J. Lapre, Marlene Ferrie and the late Paul R. and Robert H. Lapre. Walter also leaves many nieces and nephews. Following his cremation, a Memorial Mass was celebrated on Saturday, June 28, in St. Nicholas of Myra Church in Dighton.
