William G. Grady, 91, of Fall River, passed away Tuesday unexpectedly at home. Husband of the late Janice (Blackburn) Grady, to whom he was married for 66 years. Born in Springfield, son of the late George Grady and Margaret (Hargraves) Ryalls, formerly Grady. After graduating from Case High School in Swansea, Bill served in the US Navy during WWII, where he was assigned to the maintenance of PT boats. An inspector with the Registry of Motor Vehicles for over 20 years, he retired as an assistant supervisor in the Fall River office. While at the registry, Officer Grady attended Bristol Community College and earned his Associate Degree in law enforcement. He was a member of the Swansea Police Association and the American Legion. Although he loved to play scratch tickets, Bill's greatest joy was spending time with his family. Beloved father of William Grady, Jr. (wife-Diana), Kathy Theroux (husband-Bill), Peggy Christiansen (husband-Eric), Janice Janelle (husband-Randy), Nancy McNaughton (husband-Jim) and Debra Hamilton (husband-Rick); brother of the late Ted Ryalls. He was grandfather of 15 and great grandfather of 6 and also leaves several nieces and nephews. His Funeral Mass was celebrated on Wednesday, February 17th, in Holy Name Church followed by his committal with military honors at St. Patrick Cemetery.
