William J. Hallal, 83, of Fall River, passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, October 7, 2018, after a courageous battle with cancer. He was the husband of Juliann (Louis) Hallal for fifty-five years. Born in Fall River, he was a son of the late Bshara Hallal and the late Mary (Asea) Hallal.

An Air Force Veteran, he served his country honorably during the Korean Conflict. Bill owned and operated the Magic Mushroom for over 40 years. He was an avid golfer who also enjoyed spending time on East Beach; but mostly he cherished his entire family.

He was the beloved father of Elizabeth Hallal of Providence, RI, and Stacie Hallal of Fall River; magnificent grandfather of his treasured grandchildren, Rebecca and Rachel; brother of the late John, Birdie, James, Thomas, George, Edward, and Alfred Hallal, Mary Lou Sabra and Josephine Pacheco. He also leaves many beloved nieces and nephews.

His Funeral Mass was celebrated on Thursday, October 11th, in St Anthony of the Desert Church followed by his committal with military honors at Notre Dame Cemetery.
