William P. Luongo, 50, of Fall River, passed away Sunday, September 11th, due to a sudden illness. Born in Fall River, son of Shirley C. (Ratte) Luongo and the late Atty. Antonio R. Luongo, Jr., Bill had worked as a corrections officer for 15 years at the Dartmouth House of Corrections and later as a counselor at People, Inc. An avid musician, he especially enjoyed playing his guitar and loved animals. He is the beloved brother of Michael Luongo (wife-Judy P.), Robert Luongo (companion-Debbie Souza), Dr. Judith R. Luongo, Atty. Lisa C. Luongo (husband-Stephen Bernardo) and Thomas Luongo. Bill also leaves his former wife, Megan (Ryan) Luongo, several nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles. A Prayer Service was held during calling hours on Friday, September 16th, in our Fall River Chapel. His burial arrangements were private.
