Obituary

William "Bill" Rosa, 85, of Rehoboth, passed away Sunday, February 14th, at home. Beloved husband of Lorraine (Marques) Rosa, he was born in Providence, son of the late Manuel and Gertrude (Martin) Rosa. A Navy veteran of the Korean War, Mr. Rosa was a retired Teamster Union member who worked many years as a truck driver for Clifford Metals Sales in Providence. A loving and devoted husband and father, Bill lived a simple life and had a passion for family, cooking and fishing. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends. Besides his wife of 62 years , Bill is survived his children, Debbie Rose, William R. and Leslie Rosa; his grandchildren, David Paparella, Lyndsey Daigneault, Jason Rosa, Jessica Ribeiro, Shelby and Karly Bianco; his great grandchildren, Devin, Mia, Liana, and Bennett; a brother, Raymond Rosa; several nieces and nephews. He was also brother of the late Arlene Simoes. Following his cremation, relatives and friends gathered to celebrate his Memorial Mass on Monday, February 22nd, in St. Dominic Church in Swansea. Burial of his cremains at the RI Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Exeter was private.
