Yvonne M. Farinha, 99, of Somerset, passed away peacefully on December 3, 2020 at Clifton Rehabilitation and Nursing Center after a long illness.   Born in Fall River, she was a daughter of the late Albert and Angelina (Miranda) Farinha.

She was a graduate of BMC Durfee High School, Class of 1939. She was employed at Fall River Trust Bank before co-managing Farinha's Travel Agency with her brother, Edmund, for over 50 years. Yvonne enjoyed traveling and toured all over the United States and abroad. She was a generous supporter of several charities and the Fall River Historical Society. She appreciated fine art. She was also a parishioner of Notre Dame Church.

Yvonne is survived by nieces, Irene (Farinha) Berger (Jerome) and Elisa (Farinha) Wendtland (Thomas) as well as several grandnieces and grandnephews. She was also the sister of the late Aida (Farinha) Harris, Albert, Jr., and Edmund Farinha and aunt of the late Albert Farinha III (Beverly Oldrid Farinha).

A memorial service was held on Saturday, June 12th, during a visitation period in  our Fall River Chapel. Her cremains were later buried in her family lot at St. Patrick Cemetery in Fall River. In lieu of flowers kindly consider a donation in Yvonne's memory to the Fall River Historical Society or the Salvation Army.
